Christmas Letter

Dear Family and Friends,

At Christmas time I always reflect back on the year and realized how truly blessed we have been. This year has been packed with many wonderful events in our lives. We found out at the beginning of the year that our new little Bundle of Joy was going to be a girl which pleased Lorelei because she only wanted a girl. Jeanne started back in college to finish her Associate Degree in January. It has been hectic, but exciting at the same time. Jason finished his Doctorate of Pharmacy in March and went on to take his two licensing exams. He was hired on at the Smith's Pharmacy in Vernal and lived with his family so that Lorelei could finish out her school year in Nephi. Lorelei had her Kindergarten Graduation, Tumbling Review, and Dance Recital in May. In June, we flew to Jason's Graduation in Seattle at The University of Washington. The ceremony was held at the UW Stadium and the commencement speaker was Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates. What an amazing feeling to have Jason done with school! After we arrived home we were getting ready for our move to Vernal which happened to fall on our wedding anniversary. This is the second time that we have moved on our anniversary. One of my nesting instincts was getting my real estate license moved to a company in Vernal. I joined Coldwell Banker Aspenbrook Realty in July. On July 28 we welcomed Keiralei Abigail Lewis to our family. She has been such a joy in our lives. In the fall, Lorelei and Jeanne went back to school. Preston was sad because Lorelei was going to be gone all day. Preston occupies his time with playing with cars, watching old transformer cartoons, and preschool taught by Lorelei. Lorelei decided to do soccer instead of dance this year and has started piano lessons with Mrs. Marshall. She is the same piano teacher that taught Jason piano. Keiralei has been such a smiley happy baby you can't help but love her. Jeanne had her 10 year high school reunion and her 10 year anniversary of having her Real Estate License. Wow time flies! Jeanne is loving learning more about photography and how to use all of the features on her camera. Jason is loving working on his baby, and no it isn't Keiralei. It is his Corvette:) I promised him after he sold his Camaro to go to Pharmacy School that when he was done he could buy a Corvette. He has really enjoyed working on it. We have really enjoyed living in Vernal and getting to know everyone here. We are thankful to have the gospel in our lives and so many wonderful family and friends. Temple Photo Shoot

I took some photos of the kids on the Vernal Temple grounds. They turned out really cute. Preston didn't want to cooperate. He only wanted pictures of himself not with the girls.

Lorelei's 7th Birthday

Lorelei wanted a Jonas Brothers Party. I thought how can I make this fun so I found 3 people willing to dress up for the party as the Jonas Brothers. They had a blast with getting ready for the "Photoshoot with the Jonas Brothers," making Jonas Posters, and pinning your lips on Nick:) Then when the family came over and she opened her presents she was like is that it? Ok she might be spoiled!

Fall Photo Shoot

I have been having the best time with my new camera that I suprised Jason with for my birthday:) Autumn leaves always make for such beautiful pictures. The kids were being good sports about cooperating for mommy to have fun taking their pics. Lorelei is looking so old. Wow I can still remember her as Keiralei's age.

Keiralei's Blessing

We had a lot of fun this weekend! Our families came out for Keiralei's baby blessing. My family stayed at the new Marriot in Vernal! It is such an awesome hotel. We decided to take them to the Dinosaur Museum and then to Cafe Rio! Then Stephanie finished Keiralei's bow and colored my hair. Sunday before the blessing Jason was talking to my brother Anthony and I said,"I have a confession to make. I bought myself a new camera and I had to tell you so that I can take pictures at the blessing!" Yeah, I figured if I told him while someone was there then I couldn't get into too much trouble:) Bytheway, I love my new camera. I bought a Cannon Rebel. Keiralei's blessing was special and she looked beautiful. I was so glad family and Brooke were able to come and share this memerable day with us. We reserved the Hospital Conference Center for the Luncheon so that we would have enough room. Lunch was good, but I think the kids were more interested in the flight 4 life that was landing and taking off on the helipad.

My Crazy Week!

It was such a busy week this week. I had 3 huge projects due in school plus other homework, Lorelei's Picture day, we had family and friends coming out for Keiralei's blessing, soccer started, parent teacher conferences, baby's doctors appointment, working out with Staci, Jason gave me the first flu shot for Smith's in Vernal. The list goes on and on but I survived. Here are some fun pics I took of the kids during the week.

Keiralei's New Photoshoot!!!

Seriously, can she get anymore adorable? Ok I guess I am biased because I am her mommy:)

Keiralei 6 weeks old

Keiralei is growing so fast. She is already getting chubby legs and cheeks:) She is getting good at holding her head up and she will smile at you now. I put the little hot pink flower outfit on her the other day and Preston asked why I put Keiralei in her swimming suit! She looks like she is about ready to cry in the little flower hat, sad!

Preston

Yes that is a piece of carpet attached to the top of his car. His car's name is "Chuck" as in Chuck Liddell the UFC fighter:) If you don't know him, his hair is shaved except for a strip down the middle. He has a really big grin with the guitar because he likes to take Lorelei's toys and make her cry:) Then he takes pictures of me with his camera because his ulterior motive is to get me to take his picture. He has definately had his moments lately. Today was,"Don't worry mom I put paper towel on it, the orange pop!" I still haven't figured out how he got the pop and how he opened it. Then after that he wanted a screwdriver to fix Herbie. A two year old with a screwdriver probably not a very smart idea:) Then he found my stash of sharpie markers and was going to color in his coloring book which happened to be on the carpet. I barely caught him before I had to deal with that. The funny thing about all of this is that it only happens when I am feeding Keiralei. Hmm...I think someone is trying to get mommy's attention.

Lorelei's First day of First Grade

So I am posting pics of Lorelei's 1st and 2nd day of First Grade:) I loved her outfit the second day better than the first day. Lorelei loves her teacher Mrs. Oaks.

We went with Aunt Karlyn, Landen, and Emilee to Stienaker Reservoir. Lorelei and Preston love playing in the sand and water. Keiralei was chillin' under the umbrella.
